the “best” anime of 2009

Well since apparently JP’s 2008 post was popular I figured we should do one for 2009. Obviously this is mostly opinion based (at least from my stand point) but this year I think it’s better than both of us contribute to the 2009 year in review.

Requiem for Phantom – 26 (Finale)

So yay the good guys win, Ellen kills Scythemaster and she and Reiji leave Japan and go to Hong Kong. They then try asking people there about Scythemaster to try to figure out Ellen’s past. They end up in Mongolia where a granny says that if Ellen’s from Mongolia she’ll never forget the blue sky there. OKAY I’m TOTALLY HAPPY WITH THIS ENDING HOWEVER………………….

Requiem for Phantom – 25

"Ellen, I will kill that cockblocking bitch, so we can live happily ever after!"

"Nooo Cal! If only we had met under different circumstances!!"

And that basically covers episode 25. Cal dies in 1 brief shot, Ellen wipes out like 20 guys and then Scythemaster shows up with his whores who I guess Ellen and Reiji will get rid of next week. Grand finale coming up! Congrats if you made it this far!

This was possibly the worst episode of the series. Why? Because the first 18 minutes was recap shit since  episode 12. It turns out I was right – Cal went to the video store (close enough) when the explosion happened, so now she thinks Reiji died. So now while Reiji thinks she’s dead, instead the  fucking pedobear faggot Scythemaster finds her and she will probably be the next Ein for him. Meanwhile just like I said last week, Ellen and Reiji are strolling (literally) through the Mexican border. I thought the story would make more sense next week but instead the preview for next week is:

Requiem for Phantom – 18

YEA!!!!!!!!!!

Yea I’m glad I stayed faithful to this show, I knew Ellen and Reiji would get back together!!! Yea!! She was sent by Scythemaster to kill Reiji, but in the end her feelings won and she said she’s been living because Reiji told her to. In fact the scars on her body every day remind her of when he saved her and when he accidentally shot her. She knows that she’s a throw away puppet and she says if Reiji isn’t willing to stay alive, neither is she. xDDDDD!!! So he’s like LETS LIVE TOGETHER and so he gets a bunch of fake Mexican passports and that’s where he and Ellen are now headed. Wai~!

In other news, Claudia asked Lizzy to kill her because I guess she finally got her brother’s revenge so she can “die peacefully” or w/e. It was kinda sad, I feel bad for Lizzy, her only trustworthy friend is now gone. I think next week Cal comes back and she’s all like WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME REIJI ;___; *goes into yandere mode (or so I think.)* Yeaaa good stuff is happening now!!

Requiem for Phantom – 17

Hollyyy shit are you kidding me. It’s like if shit was to hit the fan in this series this episode would be it. First Claudia is like manipulating everyone & their grandma, including her own “friends”, allies and her love slave Reiji (lol who hasn’t she facked yet?) Then she almost gets him killed in a misunderstanding with another yakuza gang, but he is saved by Ein…who refuses to be called Ellen but tells him to “run away and save himself” anyway. Then soon as he gets back to his apartment…

The apartment on fire is where Reiji and Cal live.

I really hope that when this bomb went off, she was hungry and went out to a 7-11 for a midnight snack or something.

Requiem for Phantom – 12

From whimp, to pimp.

So I got like really upset that Ein died and decided to backlog Phantom. But then I kinda wanted to see pimp Reiji and geezus what a pimp he’s turned into. His new haircut makes him kinda hot too But ugh him and Claudia =_=;;; Yuck. I think Ein’s alive and I think she’s the siilhouette that we saw in this episode that killed the loli’s room mate. OH yes there is now a kawaii desu loli-chan who becomes Reiji’s new “partner”:

She wants revenge for her “sister” but I think Reiji only agrees for her to tag along because he probably knows that Ein’s the one who killed her sister.  Btw what the hell is her name it was so Engrishy I didn’t catch it. Kara? Carol? And just how OLD is she supposed to be anyway
