Hiiro no Kakera - 01

Crunchyroll aired a sneak preview of episode 1 of Hiiro no Kakera so time for me to rip it to shreds cause I played the game and well DEEN

Let’s start with the QUALITY. Deen never fails to deliver their QUALITY animation!

I did like how they managed to fit most of the introductory “CG scenes” into the first episode so for kicks & giggles let’s compare!

Hey Crunchyroll in case you haven’t done your research, O-chan is as HE. Observe below:

My other gripes besides quality and genderbending poor O-chan are O-chan’s horrible voice. It was so adorable in the game and they should have just used the game’s voice actor or something cause the anime one grates my ears =_=. Also they keep making Tamaki like WAY TOO NICE. Where’s my bitchy heroine? She seems so generic and uninteresting cause a lot of the scenes where she would get to shine with her bitchyness..have been removed. Meh. Also they changed some side characters voice actors – noteably so far Kiyono. Ugh she was pretty annoying in the game as it is but they found an even more annoying one to fill in her spot! Yippie!

I’ll probably still keep watching out of some sort of inner obligation cause I played every single Hiiro game released so it feels like it’s my DUTY to continue   The full series will start airing in April so hopefully by then I can try to forgive DEEN & Crunchyroll…or maybe not.
