Um plz bring back Ikuto Toma & Oguri Shun (´･ω･`；)
I mean when you make a remake of something, isn’t it supposed to be BETTER? Why then is every guy in the remake so fucking ugly? Not only that, but they even reuse the same freaking BGMs as the first series. The only thing that feels the same is Mizuki since she kinda looks like the previous actress…but everything else is ugh why. I’m pretty sure AKB also sings the OP to this show….so yea it’s pretty obvious they’re just trying to ride on the AKB gravy boat….which is strange since this is a story aimed at females. Or is it possible AKB is popular with not just males but females also?? （ಠ_ಠ）

My words exactly, the reason for a remake is for it to top the original. I watched fifteen minutes of it and I’m debating whether to watch the rest. Lol about the cast being uglier…it’s hard to deny that.

I was skeptical too but I watched the first episode and it’s actually pretty good. At first glance, the actors were not that good looking but they kind of grew on me. Try it it’s funny.
They can’t bring back the main cast of the original because that aired like five years ago so the actors are one two old and two doing other things. It is not uncommon for the OP to be sung by an idol group if their lead is from that group. . . pretty much every drama which has a member of Arashi in it has them singing the OP. AKB48 has tons of female fans and it is about time they do more things targeting their female audience. I have to admit it is hard to find any male actors that can surpass IKUTA Toma and Oguri Shun, but the guys aren’t all completely hideous. I am enjoying it so far because it is basically the same style but with different scenes. I also enjoy the new take on the girls school. (You also left out the fact that the main girls are all AKB48 members.) After I saw the guys I wasn’t sure if I would like it, but the girls make up for it (Maeda who is the lead may surpass the original in my eyes).
well seeing how I have 0 interest in AKB48 it could be why this drama didn’t care to interest me. It seems like you’re a fan though which could be why you like it (´・ω・｀) Obviously I know they can’t bring back old actors but I don’t like the new ones so if you do hey enjoy then.
Well it wasn’t necessary to thrash it to that extent. I don’t know about you, but non-watchers, at least those who haven’t seen even a pixel of it before, may think otherwise. They’re only human, do remember that.
And there are a lot of female akb fans, I am one too . and this drama is appealing mostly to teenage girls so that’s the point why they have Maeda in the cast.
ive watched the 2007 version and i loved it. i was a bit worried when they said “remake” but after i watched the first two episodes i love this new version.i personally think the 2011 does more justice to the manga. (ive read the manga).
its more serious that the 2007 version.
the only thing i dislike is the fact that they used the same BGM but other than that this version is better than i expected it to be : )

Also watching this remake, though definitely not watching it for the guys. The lead is Maeda and she’s okay, I watched her in Q10, so I am kinda expecting something along that line as well.
