Reverse Traps:

Completely Random Shit:

Bara Iro no Seisen (whores battling on beauty contests)
Hanawake no Yon Shimai (fucked up families)

So basically it’s a bunch of sequels, animes, mangas, and traps (if you throw Ouran into the trap section.) Surprised at the lack of School Drama but then most of the anime adaptations are school dramas so I guess that overlaps. I’ve been under a rock when it comes to any anime news so actually most of this was a big surprise to me. Seeing how the summer anime season looks like a pile of cow dung, I’ll probably be watching more dramas next season.

  1. Those guys from Ouran Host Club look a bit lame to me. Maybe Don Quixote will start a new genre of clerk dramas, Costco next ?? XD

  2. As we seen in the past, most anime/manga drama adaptations are pretty awful. The only one off the top of my head I can think of that I really liked was probably Kimi wa Petto! I mean look at Tamaki he’s freaking hideous lol.

  3. Mm for manga to anime adaptations, I really like Hana Yori Dango (and the T and K drama adaptations), the original HanaKimi drama, Nodame Cantabile, Honey & Clover, Peach Girl….quite a few actually. I’m pretty appalled that you say there’s going to be another HanaKimi coming out; is it really going to be the same story with different actors? Because if so, I think it’s way too early for a re-make. Plus, I’m so fond of the original cast members.

I’m interested in Ouran and will probably give it a try. Usually I don’t really like how the actors look just from a poster, but once I see them in action, they can usually persuade me into liking them.

  4. Well, as much the ouran drama looks like it’s gonna suck, I really hope it does well enough in Japan, so that just maybe they would consider doing another season of the anime.

  5. they only do other seasons of animes that get horny dudes to buy DVDs a la Qwaser etc. Actually now that I think about it, I also liked Meichan no Shitsuji adaptation…well not that I ever read the manga but I thought the drama was okay XD

  6. Oohhh.. I loved the Ouran anime so I’ll at least give the drama a shot. As for manga to live adaptions: I liked Wallflower. It had more of a point/narrative than the actual manga as well as the first season of HYD.

  7. Ouran dorama! I’ll definitely watch it even if it would most likely suck. Main girl is cute, that’s the only important thing in a jdorama for me. I did survive the first Hanakimi, so how dare they replace my Horikita Maki with that chubby-face AKB48 girl?

  8. Oh Kimi wa petto was nice, I agree. The only interest from Ikemen Paradise is that two girls from AKB48 show, that’s it.

  10. Ouran dorama! Hadn’t heard of it before, but now I have to watch it! Will be a nice new Friday show to watch!
Even though I guess it will be quite bad. ^^’

  11. Miserable People Trying to Move on With their Lives:
    Kurumi no Heya
    Karyu no Utage
    Soredemo, Ikite Yuku

Awesome. I could seriously feed off some misery right now.
