Woke up to some shocked news this morning. One of my favorite female VAs has passed away at the young age of 41 due to ovarian cancer. My favorite Kawakami-san roles were Rosette from Chrno Crusade, Noelle from Tenshi ni Narumon as well as Misuzu from Air. I have yet to play the Air PS2 game, which is fully voiced…I think story aside, I will be crying for a different reason now…(´;ω;`)
Rest in peace.

Loved her work in AIR, and it’s such a shame to see her go away at the young age of 41.
What is with seiyuus (and Japanese people in general) dying either in their 30′s and 40′s, or they live another quarter-century…
There goes another star. It’s certainly going to strike a bell for seiyuus her generation…
Now, there’ll be no more genuine interpretation of Athena, the song goddess from ARIA series and of course Misuzu from AIR.
Nobody put on any voice tracks from there, or that last episode of AIR…
Same feeling here, damned painful to hear. Almost felt I want to get hard drunk.
very sad
Sad news. May she rest in peace.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! My sweet wa-ho fairy!
And yes! I am too l33t as I suspected cancer as the cause of death.
Damn, I still have no idea who she was.
Oh well, RIP
How sad! God rest her soul. I watched almost 70% of her career. I would not have known her name until right now. Makes me feel even worse for some reason.
