Dog Days First Impressions

More like cat days?

Seriously what the hell is this show trying to accomplish? I imagined a bunch of people sittin’ there one day going…

“So we need a plot for a new show.”
Guy one looks at his keychain and says “how about kemonomimi!?”
Guy 2 “alright done. what else we got?”
Guy one looks at his games lying around and says “final fantasy?”
Guy “alright let’s throw in some chocobos. anything else?”
Guy one “well since we got dogs, how about cats too?”
Guy 2 “alright let’s add some action – cats vs dogs! but something is missing…”
Guy one looks at the october calendar. “Sports festival?”
Guy one “キタ(ノ゜∀゜)ノ━━━。;*:゜:+,.○*:゜.:+;*:゜:+,.○*:゜.:⌒━ Alright writing script for dog days, get me every single most wanted seiyuu on the market. Make sure we get Koyasu and Wakamoto. Hey can Nana Mizuki sing the op too? What about some old classics like Horie Yui? And what do the fangirls like? Was it Miyano Mamoru or something? Yea let’s make him the harem lead. Alright people let’s go our deadline is April 1st!”

And so this show was born. I never watched Nanoha so I didn’t get any of the Nanoha jokes but I could definitely see the Inukami thing Aroduc mentioned. Honestly as JP said, this is probably a show I woulda watched, burned and forced JP to watch years later had it aired back in 2001

  1. I may be out of place by simply wanting to watch for the chocobos.

Damn Betty Ford for not having RPG clinic.

  2. Hahaha, I finally watched the first episode. I know it’s terrible, but actually enjoyed it, as it was so absurd, wtf, and silly that I couldn’t stop laughing.
