(ಠ_ಠ)
Not sure what else to call it but since our blog’s been kinda dead this month I figured I’d post some random blurbs.
- Yumekui Merry & Infinite Stratos – No idea why I’m still watching these 2. In IS all the whores do is fight over 1 dick while the trap gets all the action and in Merry they’ve run out of plot ideas so they threw everyone on the beach and made Merry act completely out of character.
- Naruto (Manga) – Why don’t we all just fucking turn everyone into a 9 tailed fox. Wouldn’t that be lots of jolly fun! At this point, I just skim the chapter pages waiting for a character I give a crap to show up. I kinda stopped keeping track of all the “soon to be killed/wiped off the face of the manga” characters Kishimoto has thrown into the last 15 chapters.
- Anime Blogs are Dying! – Someone I don’t really know started bitching about how anime blogs are dying. They made these complicated charts about all these blogs that started in 2008 and are now dead. Nowhere is mine or JP’s blog(s) listed. That’s funny. We started in 2006 and despite the updates slowing down, we’re still alive and kicking! ヽ(^ω^ω^ω^ω^ω^)/ Besides I”m the one who chose to move my gaming blogging somewhere else. If I blogged all my otome game shit here you’d see updates every week.
- Wut – Why’s everyone going apeshit over Kyuubei? Freaking SHAFT fanboys (ಠ_ಠ). Like it’s the first anime ever with a cute mascot that turned out to be evil. I mean if they didn’t make him evil, the entire anime would just be a card captor sakura ripoff anyway ( ´_ゝ`).
- Starry Sky – So yea I was blogging this show but MY FAVORITE CHARACTER episode feels like a fucking yaoi fest. The freaking heroine didn’t EVEN SHOW UP IN THE EPISODE. It was just 3 dudes laughing and touching each other. :;:;:;:;ガ―{´_`゜|||}─ン;:;:;:; Did Honeybee have a say in this or does DEEN fucking love making BL anime? Don’t really think I’ll be blogging the rest of it to be honest…
- Onizen is hilarious as usual. I laugh every week. It’s probably the only show I look forward to on the weekends. I’m still watching Zombie and I’m glad Ayumu sliced her cooter but sad she didn’t die. It’s like the one show you wish people would freaking die and stop coming back 20 times. Starts to give me unpleasant flashbacks.
- Dramas – I don’t know. As JP pointed out, they were all detective shit. Maybe we’ll have a better selection in the Spring & Summer?
That’s pretty much it. I’m playing otome games as usual but JP seems to finally found a download for Trizenon so maybe he’ll finally be able to post something about that show
I think this week’s Yumekui was real filler, cause apparently JC Staff didn’t actually have enough canon plot to make the full series ww
Like, according to my friend who reads the manga/novel, that second guy Chaser John Doe mentioned, uhhh, the one that is just boring evil and has no goals and isn’t actually doing anything
Doesn’t exist canonically.
I’m still watching Infinite Stratos because Inoue Marina’s character is awesome
I seriously fast forwarded over half of last week’s episode though, what a sack of crap
No one remembers blogs when they move. :< That's why I'm not counted as a two year blogger.
Kyubei's face just never changes while he's being evil. That's all. :3
Toast> yea that filler was so BAD. I mean I’m all cool with beach episodes, they’re usually there to move a relationship between the 2 main chars….but I dunno they coulda done it better in my opinion. But yea lol JC Staff what else is new.
caitlyn> LOL yea I was like “how the fuck do her panties fall off before her pants do…god damnit all.
Janette> See but even after our move our blog is like 2years old lol. Otherwise its like 4+ years…oh well I guess I don’t really participate in the anime blogosphere like I used to since my interests have really shifted into gaming.
well, anime isnt anime without fillers and beaches anymore =/
lately these shows feel so boring and recycled that yesterday i watched natsu no arashi @_@
finally watched eote movies to find them disapointing. im running out of options to watch lately XD
maybe my anime bubble is bursting T_T
I think mine burst a while ago. I’m not really sure why I even watch some shows anymore lol. Maybe morbid curiosity or something
It’s kyubi’s use of single-use mahou shoujo loli that is causing problems. “Disposable” lolis.
I think you guys are closer to three. o.o I dunno, I just remember this one existing when I started blogging. And you guys being pretty much the oldest bloggers I know. I guess Borderline Hikkomori would be the oldest blog I know, but the writers are staggered–all of the original writers are gone–so people still burn out on writing, and none of the writers have been around older then you guys, so yeah, you’re still the oldest I know of.
Digi> well about time something was done to lolis besides having them end up in compromising situations with the harem lead.
Janette> It will be 3 for “this” blog in December of this year xD; So technically THI blog still 2, but I started on animeblogger in June of 2006 so it’s almost 5 years for me and already 5 for JP… The only blog off the top of my head that I know still going strong is probably Sea Slugs.
Madoka is the Evangelion of this generation. Or so I was told.
well I guess I’m too oldfag for it then ( ´_ゝ`)
Kyubi is the harem lead. >_>
Is Kyubey evil, or just misunderstood?
Kyubi: Everything has transpired as I have foreseen. It was I who allowed the Bothans access to the plans. Oh, I’m afraid the shield will be quite operational when your friends arrive…
That is Kyubi.
Don’t blame teh two of you not blogging, but do miss the sarcasm. You should just concentrate on weekly manga reviews of non shounen content til you can find something palpable anime-wise.

Hollywood had to touch S.B Yamato lol
http://www.shabooty.com/2011/02/19/confessions-trailer-english-subtitles-x-japanese-film.php
Well for ‘Confessions’ I am going to an Independent cinema to watch this and that’s says something for someone who doesn’t bother with cinemas that much! My female friend watched it and said it was real good.
That reminds me: I gotta get around to watching the recent Japanese live-action version.
Also, the last time that Hollywood did a live-action version of Yamato it was really good!
…I find Kyubey’s unchanging expression frightening. (´・ω・`)
Yeah you’re right JP, I had forgotten about Battlestar. I watched the intial bunch of seasons til they went Cylon crazy. I didn’t know good Boomer from bad Boomer and Apollo was male harem lead material in a bad way.
It’s more gen urobuchi fanbois than shaft fanbois
*Disclosure: I’m making a general comment, rather than a specific reply to this article
Came by your blog via trawling the internets for emotional justifcation on the LOLWHUT racism of Nihonjin ga Shiranai Nihongo. Freakin’ loved your rant-rave post, as well as basically every other one in the category. EMOTIONAL VALIDATION HELL YEAH. I love to love anime, by but god, as an actual real humanoid lady it can be tres trying.
(Re: Actually strong characters in anime – this is why I tend to gravitate toward 2nd level ‘friends’ – they might get an episode or two sporadically dedicated to them to mix it up, generally surround the main girl, but have far more normal/less rage inducing relationships excetera (so, Sawako’s friends from Kimi ni Todoke; manga, leastways, didn’t bother with the anime). Perhaps the main one in Claymore could be a candidate. Of course, all the STRONG LAYDEEZ are actually non-human, so read into that what you will…Maybe also Yukino from Kare Kano? I think she’s presented well for the genre it’s in.)
Tl;dr – Keep rollin’. You rock.
lol well since most anime is targetted towards dudes nowdays it’s hard to find a good heroine. even in the otome games I play most heroines are damsels in distress – except for the ones in TAKUYO (a otome game brand.) almost every heroine in their games is pretty self reliant and doesn’t sit around waiting for some guy to protect her.
even shoujo anime/manga makes the heroine a weak pansy 90% of the time. Japan loves copying each other so if that’s what sells, that’s what they’ll keep doing.
on the other hand, the ladies in Onizen are hilarious, especially Nao. So I guess watching randomly randy shows kills the genre alltogether since it’s irrelevant to the fact that oniichan is a siscon
Blogs in general die all the time – but new blogs are born. I don’t think anyone with even the barest grasp of economics can contest that anime blogs as a collective whole have more staying power than anime websites with [occasionally] paid writers like ANN.
