Starry Sky – 02

For a few minutes I thought they had improved the animation but then…

dat mouth

(ಠ∀ಠ)

In other news I wondered what Tsukiko would look like in the anime if they tried to continue the whole eyeless Tsukiko idea from the original game:

(*′皿`艸) do not want lol

Man there isn’t even a single scene in the show that actually matches any of the CGs or memorable moments of the game. They were so cheap this week where they even replayed the same footage from last week’s episode. Really? You have 22 minutes to tell each guy’s story and the best you can do is reuse flashback footage? Great job DEEN Σ(゚∀´(┗┐ヽ(・∀・ )ノ

This will be probably our blog’s last post of the year so have a good one guys!.。゚+.(´∀`○)゚+.゚。

the “best” anime of 2010

THE “AWARDS” WHERE I JUST MAKE FUN OF STUFF:

“Best” DUDE YOU HAVE TO CHECK OUT THIS AMAZING ‘JAPANIMATION’! IT’S NOT KID’S STUFF LIKE DISNEY CARTOONS! and guiltiest pleasure: Cobra the Animation

Let’s see: Sci-fi? Check. Weirdness? Check. Nekkid ladies? Check. I’m honestly not sure if I enjoyed this show for all the right reasons or for all the wrong reasons.

Starry Sky anime is QUALITY

Somehow this:

turned into this:

This is why we can’t have nice things. ( ´_ゝ`)

I don’t expect much out of this honestly. Most game adaptations are terrible but you can tell they’re just doing this for shits & giggles. In case you didn’t know it will be in an omnibus format and each guy will get 2  11minute episodes. The order of the guys will be by their zodiac sign so it will start with Yoh and end with Azusa Shiki (apparently he gets the last episode). I recommend either playing the games or checking out my reviews.

And so 2 years quietly rolls by…

And so quietly our 2 years anniversary is today even though if our domain hadn’t died it would have been 4 years for me and like 5 for JP. Honestly I don’t really expect much activity in this blog in the coming year. I don’t want to completely say “I quit” and close the blog but I guess the passion just isn’t there. My focus has and will be on otome gaming as well as MMO gaming on my other blog. JP’s been occupied with Fallout New Vegas and he’s gone through my entire list of stuff I “forced” him to watch. Even the shows I do watch I mostly blurb 1 or 2 things on twitter about it and that’s as much as I say about anime anymore. I mean what am I going to blog about every week?

  • That Kirino is a bitch who needs to die in a fire?
  • That Panty & Stocking is like the most awesome show ever?
  • That there’s a horrible porn scene in Yosuga every week?
  • That someone died in Hakuoki?
  • Or that Kishimoto brought back stock character #44 in Naruto and now they gotta fight again?

Anyway you get the picture. Anime blogging was great back in 2006 when it was new, raws were still hard to obtain and the blogosphere was booming with fresh new blogs. Now I hardly know any new bloggers anymore. I don’t really read anime blogs anymore since my interest in new shows is pretty low.  Because of google reader and twitter most of the conversations and discussions have been moved over there. I guess the anime blogging medium in my eyes is kinda dead – but maybe it’s still alive in someone else’s. We’ll keep this blog around in case one of us gets inspired to write anything but it’s definitely the end of an era in my eyes.

JP: Stupid 3 year computer game backlog! I actually do have hundreds of gigs of anime sitting here queued up to write about, I just can’t force myself to stop playing computer games and actually watch them—and this is stuff that I genuinely do want to watch! So hopefully I won’t end up like Momotato and only a year-end awards post (which I will make as usual!)
