Not sure what this drama was trying to accomplish. Showing us cute 3D bacteria, grossing me the fuck out with that guy eating rotten foot and spitting rice into a bowl of sake, having nasty greasy otaku bid on a piece of gum (supposedly) chewed by an idol, or attempting to create last minute romance between the main guy and miss dominatrix
I thought the bacteria were cute but other than that most of the show was weird/gross. Also their attempt to portray a trap was a complete failure because a girl actress is not going to work as a trap particularly when the original guy is taller and a hell lot more muscular. This isn’t like 3D Studio max, you can’t just desculpt someone’s muscles off =_=; I never saw the anime so I can’t compare but the drama ended up being kinda stupid so I guess you could watch the first few eps for the cute bacteria but otherwise it was kind of a waste of my time.
The drama is nothing like the anime. NOTHING LIKE THE ANIME
There is barely an attempt to follow the sort-of same plot at first but by the end it’s completely thrown out the window.
I wasn’t a fan of this drama. Too over the top even by manga adaptation standards.
I highly recommend the anime though.
I guess that this is something I don’t need to try and catch up on. I was thinking about it because I heard the anime was good, but never watched it, only caught a glimpse at a convention. Though the little bacteria were adorable.
Japan ruins another manga-drama adaptation, news at 11.
Seriously though, this worked so much better in anime format. The drama just made me roll my eyes the whole time.
The anime was much, much better than this.
In the live action version they conflated the plot, they completely changed the backstory of Kei (who in the original was not a tough guy in his past – rather had always been told he looked like a girl), and the over-acting was painful to watch. The microbes were the best thing about the whole show.
I always used to say I’d never seen a Noitamina show I didn’t like. I can’t say that any more.
Sigh I guess it really was as terrible as I thought. Maybe I’ll take time to check out the anime at some point. Some scenes felt like they’d be better portrayed in anime anyway
Anime’s certainly something I have fond memories of.
Glad to know I can just skip the drama.
Some things grossed me out, but I still enjoyed this series.
