I’m glad I stuck to watching Moteki. I’m a little behind on some of my other dramas but Moteki pretty much got me hooked. From kimoi mangakas to stupid girls to Ukio getting kicked around like an idiot, it was definitely a fun ride. I think next week is the grand finale? Either way it’s definitely a drama I recommend for the summer season. I’m about 2 weeks behind on Nihonjin but I figured I’d just wait for that to finish and marathon the last few episodes along with Natsu no Koi. I also backlogged moyashimon because I heard it was great & terrible at the same time so I’ll just watch it all in bulk
In other news, I haven’t watched any anime except Kaicho wa Maid. I’m behind on Fairy Tail but I’m also waiting for that to finish so I can just marathon until the end. I looked at the Fall Season looks like a bunch of the same old shit that I don’t think I’ll be taking part of. The only thing I have to force myself to watch is the 2nd season of Hakuoki since the first one ended on a sour note. I still intend to play the game at some point. On the topic of games, because I’m basically flying through my otome game backlog I’ve been pretty much focusing on that instead of anime/dramas. I think JP sorta stopped caring about anime too, so this blog is gonna be collecting dust bunnies for a while.
I found out the Starry Sky anime is gonna be one of those b/s airing things on Animate.tv like Hetalia where I’ll have to scrounge for the raws to even be able to watch it. Yuck. Talk about a motivation killer. I’m also working my way through the DRRRR!! novels right now (on volume 4). Maybe there will be some interesting fall dramas to check out once I make it through my backlog but I guess this is kinda like my phase back in 2004 where I pretty much lost interest in anime. Maybe eventually it will pick up…if they stop making shows about sister incest, lolis, titties and Slayers ripoffs.
Don’t worry about it! We’ll all still be here when you decide to come back to let some rage out.
I’m just following Kaichou at the moment too. Btw, any recommendations for shows that are similar in genre to Kaichou? I’ll be sad when it ends…
Ok enough chit chatting….must catch up on Moteki!
I miss you guys blogging.
But we all go through those stages.
Ahhhhh i agree with Janette I’m also going to miss you two blogging.
The Clone Wars Season # doesn’t have any of the above
I do believe the way forward for the two of you short term is to do a podcast once in a while rather than forcing yourself to blog regularly when there’s nothing to watch. The both of you could talk about the current manga or whatever floats your boat and take questions/topics from your readers. Use iTunes and I’ll be there. It’s a nice time filler til anime picks back up again and becomes worthwhile to blog.
I lost most of my interest in 2005, attempts over the last few years to catch up haven’t gone well because of exactly what you said. Esp with the loli shows, it’s killed my interest in a few bloggers as well.
