Nihonjin no Shiranai Nihongo – 10

I’m slowly making my way through my drama backlog but I just had to rage at this episode:

WHAT KIND OF FUCKING IDIOT KICKS A FOOTBALL THROUGH A SHRINE GATE ゴ━━━━(# ゚Д゚)━━━━ルァ!! I realize the show exaggerates a lot of stuff, but COME ON. Kicking footballs? Ripping off bad fortunes from the wall thinking they are “free”?? Seriously what kind of foreigner does this? It’s like such a high level of ignorance and stupid, and considering their (supposed) knowledge of Japanese…you’d think by NOW they’d know how the fuck a shrine works. Okay fine like I don’t really know about the whole bowing twice, clapping and bowing again thing since I’ve never done. However when I went to Japan I didn’t rip off others’ fortunes and I didn’t KICK FOOTBALLS THROUGH THE GATE ( ಠ益ಠ )

Now any Japanese watching this show are gonna think we’re all dumb Americans (or British) who only drink beer, eat hamburgers and kick footballs ( ´_ゝ`)

Yes apparently there is a drama version of MAL!

I don’t know how long I’ve been looking for a site that’s like myanimelist but for dramas…but I FINALLY FOUND IT!

MYDRAMALIST

I used to always use jdorama.com but they only had a lot of old dramas and so when I finished Natsu no Koi I was disappointed they didn’t even have it up :? But no problem, I registered on mydramalist now so time to update my watched list ;) My profile is here so feel free to add me as a friend XD

Natsu no koi wa nijiiro ni kagayaku final thoughts

So I marathoned the rest of Natsu no Koi today (eps 2-10). I really liked the whole part about Taiga trying to become a better actor and step out of his dad’s shadow. However the whole subplot of what I guess the main theme of the show was – just didn’t really strike me as too interesting. I like both actors but the two of them just don’t have chemistry. Maybe it’s because she rejected him for 8 episodes and then suddenly she’s like “SUKI!” It’s like the love between them felt like love between 12 year olds or something :roll: Then throwing Sakura suddenly making her like Taiga….lol wtf. She was such a bitch to him and suddenly she’s all like I LOVE YOU WHY DONT YOU UNDERSTAND! And soon as he rejected her, she runs after the guy who she called “annoyingly persistent.” (´・ω・`;) Also the Arashi theme song sounded so generic. I don’t know what it is but ever since 2-3 years ago every Arashi song just sounds the same to me..and this is coming from a person who still listens to “hadashi no mirai” no repeat :lol:

Overall it was an okay drama I guess and I almost teared up when the ghost of his dad showed up at Taiga’s play, but otherwise meh. Also the loli randomly going NO I DONT WANT ANOTHER DADDY in the 9th episode made me roll my eyes. :roll: I still think Kimi wa Petto was handled a lot better as far as younger guy + older woman relationships go. JP is currently downloading that drama so maybe I’ll have him post a review of it later.

Kaicho wa Maid-sama Finale

Gotta admit I think JC Staff did a good job of adapting it. At first I was kinda iffy about the whole thing but in the end it really followed the manga and I guess ended at a good place to stop. It’s a shame there’s definitely enough material for a 2nd season but this probably will make less money than crap with tits or lolis that they poop out. The manga has finally gone into Usui’s background/past/political stuff so it’s really getting interesting now. Also at this point Misaki and Usui are pretty much officially a couple so you can rest assured that her tsundere ways aren’t going to last the entire series :lol: Proof:

Naruto Ch. 511

Aww ;_;

Damnit, why is it when there’s totally pairing canonization in Naruto, it happens after the character is already dead T_T I was annoyed with Sasugay before, but now Madara’s pissing me off. I haven’t been blogging anything about Naruto lately because every chapter is Madara being over 9000. Seriously I mean if Naruto defeats Madara that basically makes Naruto stronger than Jiraya, his pupils, Tsunade, Minato and like everyone. I hope he at least maybe joins forces with Sausage when that moron (hopefully) opens his eyes :roll:

Moteki is pretty awesome.

I’m glad I stuck to watching Moteki. I’m a little behind on some of my other dramas but Moteki pretty much got me hooked. From kimoi mangakas to stupid girls to Ukio getting kicked around like an idiot, it was definitely a fun ride. I think next week is the grand finale? Either way it’s definitely a drama I recommend for the summer season. I’m about 2 weeks behind on Nihonjin but I figured I’d just wait for that to finish and marathon the last few episodes along with Natsu no Koi. I also backlogged moyashimon because I heard it was great & terrible at the same time so I’ll just watch it all in bulk :lol:

In other news, I haven’t watched any anime except Kaicho wa Maid. I’m behind on Fairy Tail but I’m also waiting for that to finish so I can just marathon until the end. I looked at the Fall Season looks like a bunch of the same old shit that I don’t think I’ll be taking part of. The only thing I have to force myself to watch is the 2nd season of Hakuoki since the first one ended on a sour note. I still intend to play the game at some point. On the topic of games, because I’m basically flying through my otome game backlog I’ve been pretty much focusing on that instead of anime/dramas. I think JP sorta stopped caring about anime too, so this blog is gonna be collecting dust bunnies for a while.

I found out the Starry Sky anime is gonna be one of those b/s airing things on Animate.tv like Hetalia where I’ll have to scrounge for the raws to even be able to watch it. Yuck. Talk about a motivation killer. I’m also working my way through the DRRRR!! novels right now (on volume 4). Maybe there will be some interesting fall dramas to check out once I make it through my backlog but I guess this is kinda like my phase back in 2004 where I pretty much lost interest in anime. Maybe eventually it will pick up…if they stop making shows about sister incest, lolis, titties and Slayers ripoffs. :roll:
