If you’re reading this blog, you are obliged to watch this drama. This is probably going to be the funniest drama of the summer.
The drama is about a former charisma gal who wants to become a high school teacher. As an experience, she gets the opportunity to teach foreigners Japanese. Unfortunately for her, they aren’t the kind you meet at local anime cons who only know kawaii and pocky. They ask her things like how you call the soy sauce plate in Japanese or the Chinese ones always harass her about why a kanji is pronounced differently in Japanese and Chinese. (Also the Chinese girl raged about how the Japanese stole kanji from the Chinese many years ago 
) Haruko is frustrated at first because these foreigners know a lot more than she expected, but she’s determined to teach them because they need the Japanese to survive life in Japan.
The first episode focused on the black guy Bob who besides being portrayed as this scary black man on a train with loud ear phones is trying to make a living working at a ramen shop. The owner yells at him for not knowing Japanese and how gaijins are soo annoying but Bob is determined to learn the difference between all the ramen kitchen tools so he can become a more productive worker! I think the other episodes are going to focus on each individual foreigner so I’m really looking forward to this.
The best part though? You can learn Japanese! They often point to objects and post the hiragana on the screen. Hey even I learned stuff I didn’t know before! XD So yea I definitely recommend everyone check this out!! Also the episodes are only 30 min long so it won’t take up too much of your time.

yea I Just remembered it over the weekend so I’ve been lurking on D-Addicts to see all the new posts the last few days. I actually wanna check out that new matsujun drama that was posted yesterday.

I watched the first episode after you mentioned it yesterday. I recall that it was on a summer drama preview list, but yes.. Bob reminds me a bit of of Simon from Durarara.. ^_^
