what i was (not) forced to watch this week #4: yokohama kaidashi kikou

I had actually finished Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou about a week ago, but alas could not make a post about it until now due to lack of internet and whatnot. Much like with Summer Wars, I am going to make the kind of statement about Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou which if stripped of its context is going to make the show sound really bad: why was this anime even made?

this is really all you need to know about this series. seriously. just stare at it for as many hours as you think it will take for the ahh-ness of things to set in

what i was (not) forced to watch this week #3: gravion

For a long time, I kept confusing Gravion and Godannar. This was mainly because both shows came out at roughly the same time and both begin with the letter G. After actually watching them, they’re not too hard to tell apart:

i'm not even sure which part of this is my 'favorite' bit of engrish

what i was (not) forced to watch this week #2: dracula: sovereign of the damned

Oh ho ho ho. Just because I’m not being forced to watch specific anime any more doesn’t mean that I won’t be watching any more crap. That said, the crap is still going to be crap that there’s some kind of reason to watch, rather than being crap because they are eminently forgettable, eminently disposable filler. And besides, it’s more fun to write about a really bad show is bad rather than trying to figure out how to find something to say about something like uh, E’s Otherwise.

Naruto Ch. 497

Save the drama for yo' mama Naruto

Man first Minato shows up in his head, now Kushina. His parents aren’t actually dead, they’ve been living a happy life in Naruto’s head all this time! I’m sure sooner or later Sasuke’s family will start doing the macarena in his head too, if they haven’t already.

Manga Review: Koko ni Iru Yo!

Yes you're a real pushover.

Hm I think I’m starting to just review random mangas I read nowdays, smutty or not! I guess I feel if I don’t do that, this blog will really die since I tend to watch anime like 10 episodes at a time now and by then there’s no point of blogging it (Although I do follow Kaicho wa Maidsama and B Gata H Kei on a weekly basis.) Anyway this manga is like the poor man’s Kimi ni Todoke. The positive side being that it’s short and it’s completed so there’s less of slowpoke.jpg. The story features this pathetic lonely little girl with no friends, except the two people who comment on her blog. Turns out one of the commenters was a popular boy in school but I guess he missed his chance to confess to her because his man bff snatched her first. I kinda wanted Teru (the blog commenter also known as Black Rabbit) to end up with her because I felt they had a stronger connection, while Hinata sorta just started talking to her one day for no reason. I think a few MAL readers also thought she shoulda ended up with Teru too but I guess this was one of those “the first guy ends up with the girl” stories so nothing you can do to change that. :?

Do I recommend? Well it’s short, and the art is cute so give it a go I guess!
