From what I vaguely recall of the manga, the ending was different and not as romantic so I’m giving big props to the anime team for making such a satisfying end. But endings aside if you really think about it, this is all Kikyo’s fault! If that hussy didn’t go around tempting men then a) Kagome wouldn’t have to worry about someone stealing her man b) Naraku would probably not become an evil bad guy out to take revenge on happy couples because he couldn’t get laid c) we coulda had like so much less filler anime and this show coulda ended like 10 years ago when I was actually watching it!

I still think it’s kinda weird that Kagome went back 500 years to spend her life there. I mean if you’re gonna leave it so loose ended why stretch it out to be so damn long xDD Oh well I find it funny how Kagome’s brother goes to his friends “my sister’s not here anymore, she went off to get married soon as she graduated high school.” Oh Japan. Anyway my fangirling ends here. I sorta marathoned the last 10 episodes in the past week which is why I hadn’t blogged about it weekly. It’s definitely a recommend for old school Inuyasha fans who just wanted to see the finale animated. If only the original anime series was this good and low on filler!

And the KagomeXInuyasha kiss was epic! Nice to see a show with good ole fashioned good ending.
Maybe Naraku might have an afterlife date with Kikyo? In fact I think they both deserve themselves for being so manipulative…

Do you think this season would make sense for someone who dropped the first show about 50 episodes in? I got sick of all the filler, but closure sounds nice, so maybe I’ll just watch this season.
I actually enjoyed the anime ending more, too. It was just nicer seeing it animated with voices and music and stuff. I was kinda hoping the anime creators would change it drastically from the manga and make it better, but I guess that was expecting too much.
