Shinichi finally confesses to Akiyama sensei…but it looks like next week they find out that the two of them are living together so now he has to move. Hmm, I can still feel they’ll end up together. I still think it’s kinda weird lol. I mean I’m cheering for them, but I dunno something about it I just can’t get used to. I was able to deal with MatsuJun and Koyuki but something about this… But that drama (Kimi wa Pet) was pretty randy. This one’s pretty tame in comparison so I guess I’ll let it go xD. Also I recommend Anego for those who like these types of relationship dramas ^_^.
She’s older, she’s taller, she’s more assertive, and she more successful. Call me sexist, but if the genders were switched, I would find it nothing out of ordinary; but, the way it is, I just don’t see how a woman like that could be attracted to a guy like that.
Only in Japan, and maybe even only in jdrama.
I think the point is, because she’s older taller assertive and successful she’s only able to fall for someone who isn’t – because if she were to go with a guy who was better than her in all those things, she probably wouldn’t bother and just be a married housewife like every other Japanese woman.
Bah! I still can’t feel the chemistry between these two. I usually like this kind of dramas, but THIS one isn’t doing anything for me.
For anyone who likes relationship dramas I totally recommend “Love Revolution”, “Around 40″ or even “Hotaru no Hikari”.
I used to be so excited over new episodes released each week, until I stumbled on the Korean equivalent of this show, Biscuit Teacher and Star Candy. After marathoning that show, I find that I can’t even muster one drop of that old excitement for Ohitorisama, which is probably unsurprising after you’re done with a show that basically did everything ten times better. After resuming Ohitorisama, I began to realize that it’s all about ‘aww, look at Koike Tepp-, I mean, Shinichi, look how cute and moe he is with his innocent schoolboy routine, let’s see how many ohitorisamas fall in love with him’. They feel more like siblings than lovers, and the preview shot of Akiyama hugging Shinichi from behind is really awkward. Despite that, I’m hoping for something more interesting to happen between the two and maybe for the romance to turn up the fire and tone down the moe.
(You should check out BT, I could see you spazzing and going HELL YEAH every ten seconds later on as the ‘younger guy’ of the show will charm the pants off you lol.)
* I shouldn’t call it the Korean equivalent, just that it deals with older-woman x younger-man relationship.
See, I read “Shinichi”, “Akiyama” and “confesses”, and automatically went ZOMG LIAR GAME. NAO CONFESSED TO AKIYAMA? OR MAYBE FUKUNAGA? . . . Oh. I see what you did there. Pooh.
(NB: The character’s name in Liar Game is Shinichi Akiyama, but I only realised that after fancollapsing.)
