what i was forced to watch this week #47: love get chu

Spring 2006 was probably the best season this decade for anime. Off of the top of my head, there was Ouran High School Club, Black Lagoon, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Simoun, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Nana, Gintama, Inukami, and another season of Aria. Then I remembered that there was a dark side: Glass Fleet, Musashi Gundoh, and well, Love Get Chu. You know you’re scraping the bottom of the barrel when you make an anime out of a cell phone game.

FEEL those 5 years out of style character designs!

Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu ~Purity~ – 09

In case you forgot what this show is supposed to be about.

The last 2 episodes before this were a fucking disaster. I just can’t deal with how awful this show has become. If you quit at episode 1, I recommend you stay that way because you aren’t missing out on anything. Even though we get another Haruka & Yuuto episode (finally), they both claim that this is their “first date” because going to Akihabara or shopping doesn’t count as dates because Mika said so. Wtf? To make things worse, Mika’s stupid phone calls cockblocked them twice this episode. I used to think she was all cool like “supportin her sister” but now she’s just a cockblocking loli bitch. Last week she fucking spread her cooter right into Yuuto’s face too, little cumslut. Grah, this show pisses me off so much now. I’ll probably finish watching it, but I doubt I’ll have anything pleasant to say.

Ohitorisama – 07

Shinichi finally confesses to Akiyama sensei…but it looks like next week they find out that the two of them are living together so now he has to move. Hmm, I can still feel they’ll end up together. I still think it’s kinda weird lol. I mean I’m cheering for them, but I dunno something about it I just can’t get used to. I was able to deal with MatsuJun and Koyuki but something about this… But that drama (Kimi wa Pet) was pretty randy. This one’s pretty tame in comparison so I guess I’ll let it go xD. Also I recommend Anego for those who like these types of relationship dramas ^_^.

Shokojo Seira – 07

Yea I know I’m slacking in my drama posts. Finally Seira gets freaking paid for her slavery work. Also that childhood friend of Kaito’s is a fucking bitch. I really don’t know what the point of her coming to this episode and bullying Seira was. At least Seira slapped that ho lol. About the only smart thing she’s done in the entire series. I hope something decent happens soon, kinda tired of seeing “bully the Seira” every week.

Hanasakeru Seishounen – 31

Ok so it’s been a while but let’s go over what’s been happening. Noei is stuck in prison by the coup de taet militants that are taking over Lagine, sent of course by Quinza. Quinza is marrying the evil bitch so he can pull strings further from the shadows. He wants to “prepare” Lagine for Rumaty to be king, so essentially he’s on the good side, but he’s just going about it all wrong! Li Ren drops the bomb this week and tells Kajika that he’s abandoned the Fang dynasty the moment he went to Lagine.

That’s it, shipping flag raised. Meanwhile Kajika wants to save Noei and save Lagine, along with Rumaty who’s been lounging in NY but I think is finally going back. Carl’s dad gets so enraged at Carl for betraying him that he gets a heart attack. Carl then realizes he really doesn’t give a damn that his father is sick and all he wants now is Kajika. Sorry Carl, guess you’re out of luck. Meanwhile back at the ranch, Mustafagene has been lounging around as a “prisoner” and getting it on with one of his servants – Kajika is about to discover this next week.

what i was forced to watch this week #46: rurouni kenshin

I had actually attempted to watch this a while back. I got through the first story arc, but the 10 year old CD-Rs with the second and third arcs had died so I had been trying to piece together the missing parts to finish the show. This time, rather than resume where I left off, I’d go in chronological order and watch the prequel first, then finish the series, and then watch the epilogue OVA.

even despite first seeing this kind of stuff...
