The final Clannad DVD was released which contained the Kyou story special. Kyou is the only female in Clannad who I approve besides Nagisa. The rest of them can go to hell 
In Kyou’s story I honestly hated Ryou. I mean watching this episode doesn’t seem so bad, but when you play the ENTIRE GAME with Ryou until the end you realize how much Kyou is hurt I seriously just wanted to punch her in face. I forgave her later on in the Kappei arc (which I guess we’ll never see animated). Too bad for Sunohara though, assuming that we’re in Tomoya x Nagisa land, I think he should end up with Kyou anyway, it would be so cute! xDDDD
I do wish Kyouto Animation’s animation was…more fluid like it was 3 years ago. Now everything feels like it was drawn quickly in photoshop or something and slapped together with some botched backgrounds.
Ryou wasn’t that bad. She wasn’t that great, but I didn’t hate her. But I also lack you fangirl knowledge of this show. I made it through half of the first anime season and as soon as I saw hot unimportant my 2 favorites where, (Tomoyo & Kotomi) were not going to be the “one.”
He does end up with Nagisa, right?

Gotta say I agree with you 100%. I was bugged as sh*t when i found out that Tomoyo got her own after story. Kyou deserved it much more I think.
When you are twins i think that you should as much as possible stay away from the boyfriend. Theres too much of a likelyhood that the other twin may end up liking him to, thus heartbreak and soo on.

Honestly, all my complaints about Clannad disappeared during the Sunohara/Mei arc.
Coincidentally, that’s about where I stopped watching.
Oh, actually, I kinda liked the landlord lady too. I watched that. Then I just had no reason to watch anymore.
Never liked Ryou or Kyou that much, but no particular thing against them either.
lol Kotomi was an odd one, but she grew on me. I can’t remember the line but it was something like, “I saw a deer, I saw a rabbit, and I saw you” and she standing by a window and the breeze blew in cherry blossoms or something. I just KNEW that was going to work out.

I’m not gay but the only characters from Clannad that I like are males, whereas all female characters are seriously pissing me off. Kyou might be the least annoying one so probably it will be the only After Story episode (well sort of…) that I really watch without skipping.
Someone who understands about animation fluidity. It all peaked with AIR and Haruhi but went down from there (Haruhi was also a stepdown but AIR was just godly). I blame Lucky Star and K-ON for their slacking.
Indeed, I still hope they pretty up Haruhi’s new episodes in the DVD version, but it’s 2009 KyoAni, not 2004 KyoAni…

my order is tomoyo kyou the landlord lady, nagisa mom, mehhh i guess nagisa grew on me and for what ever reason i really liked the way she sounds? kind of weird
but tomoyo is the best. I wish they did a better job on the Tomoyo after story manga
uhhh so i guess the manga is actually called Tomoyo After: Dear Shining Memories i got it mixed up with the game
I hate how people say Kyou is a backstabbing bitch when it was Ryou who is the slutty, manipulative one! Also, studies have shown that long haired characters that cut their hair look 80% uglier than normal.
