Clannad After Story 19

The part with Tomoya visiting his father was the most depressing one of the episode. Once again I cried, just like I did in the game. It’s great to see him finally going home to live with his mother and stop “trying so hard” but it’s also depressing at the same time because he was pretty miserable throughout the entire Clannad series. Just thinking back makes me cry too, so no Tomoya, you weren’t the only one bawwwing this week. Otherwise, for once I didn’t mind the Fuuko scene. It was well fit and her hugging Ushio was hillarious lol. Don’t worry Fuuko, if I saw Ushio in real life I might be tempted to do the same. Btw I hope you all know who Ushio’s kindergarten teacher is ;)

  1. Fuuko truly seems immortal. To not have aged, mentally or physically. To not be phased by the fact that she just lost about 11 years of her life in a comatose, while everyone around her moved on ahead. Truly. Fuuko is amazing. She’s good in small doses like these ones, but anymore than that, and I truly wish her dead.

Good episode. Although it didn’t have as much of a sentimental impact as last episode, it was done fairly well in its own right. Tomoya talking to his father was pretty awkward though. VERY AWKWARD. If you think about it logically though, it makes sense, since Tomoya and his father had been estranged for about the same amount of time that Fuuko has been in a comatose; meaning, they haven’t talked to each other normally in a really long time.
