Ugh go away lump in my throat.
I’m hoping that there is the “alternative” ending. I mean there has to be. We’re only on episode 16. There’s plenty of time to give us a happy ending. I find it hard to believe that we will get a sad ending considering how KyoAni made a joke of half of this series. I will not be depressed, I will pretend this episode was just a “run through the game required for the good end.”
The possibility (incredibly likely possibility I like to think…and hope) that we get the alternative ending when the anime finishes is the only thing that’s going to keep me watching Clannad. Otherwise I’d really have to stop right now. This episode was even sadder than I expected.
Wow, thanks for spoiling it for us.

Um…it’s an ANIME blog. You don’t visit one without being prepared for spoilers.
BAKA
Spoilers? Sure. My guess is (without watching after story) that we’ll go all the way to Tomoya and his daughter collapsing in the snow, fade to white, and then we return to Nagisa not dying in childbirth. With help of hikari no dama.
prepare for hankies shortage if Nagisa dies…
and for fans bombing of KyoAni if they come thru with bad ending (kill’em all – Nagisa, the child and Tomoya)
Eleutheria> Where have you been lurking! How’s law school?
ewok> well she already died this week, but I consider this the “semi-death” until proven wrong
Guess Tomoya has to collect all Dragonballs, or else no Nagisa respawn
lol that’s a good way to put it
If I understand how she kicks the bucket…
It is unacceptable for maternal mortality especially in a first world setting.
Well it’s 1-2% in developed nations afair, but in case of Nagisa’s death it didn’t make any difference imo – her body was weak since the beginning of the show, she probably would’ve died earlier then an average person anyway. The strain of the birth was just too much and sped up the course of events.
Law school…endlessly interesting, since it covers practically every aspect of society – anywhere there’s a need for order, there is law.
Downside is lack of time, although I do still follow Toradora and Gundam.
I’ve found that my tastes have changed along with age as well, so appetite for anime et al has been steadily decreasing. In turn I’ve rediscovered “actual literature” – just finished The Once and Future King, which is probably one of the best books I’ve read in a couple of years.
Haha well join the club
I downsized my anime watchlist to 3-4 shows, with re-starting literature with Asimov’s Foundation trilogy. Welcome to ex-anime fans literature club?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
More dramatic then the movie version.
At least in my opinion xd
sdal;kjfaew; T.T well we’ll probably get our desu ex machina soon enough. Or if they end with THAT end, I might be too depressed to function.
nooooooooooooooo. it was sooo sad. poor Tomoya why did she have to die. o well can’t wait to see how it ends.
I’m rather hopeful of this ‘alternate ending.’ I don’t know what it is or how it will turn out but I guess that’s the beauty of it all.
My only happy ending is Kyou.
