It only took 67 chapters Ouran…

ouran67And this time, it’s not that fatherly daughterly bullshit kind of love. So I admit it was a little bit “random” and the entire chapter made no freaking sense to me, but at least there was one worthy thing to read about. I wonder if anyone besides me still keeps up with this series… :|

  1. OMG!!!!!!!!!

I was scanning this series for a group in July but all of the ‘fatherly-daughterly’ love turned me off of the manga…I NEVER thought Tamaki would admit that he was in love with Haruhi…I have got to catch up on this…

thanks for the heads up d(*_*)b

  2. When I read this all I really thought was, “about time.” It took too long, so I almost didn’t care. But let’s see if real development actually happens from here. Then I’ll get excited again.

  3. Finally he stopped with the fatherly love crap, now I can’t start reading it seriously once again.
I agree with FuyuMaiden they better start developing their relationship otherwise I won’t give two s***s about this manga anymore.

  4. I’m still following it, but this line, just came out of nowhere. I was a little disapointed they were going back to that “Let’s bring happiness to everyone!” type of story. But at least it looks like there’s progress.

  5. Ehhh… finally.. >_< I don’t even know if I care anymore.. but it’s all kinda romantic. I actually quit purchasing the graphic novels since vol 10, but my god…. speculations on if there’s going to be an conclusion soon.

  6. I’ve still been following it, but when I got to this chapter I seriously didn’t give a huge crap. I mean I really loved that chapter when Haruhi realized her feelings, but then after that I was like “(´ρ`)zZ。。。oO○” How the hell does she keep doing those challenge relay race things? They’re so…dull. I didn’t understand this chapter at all either. Hopefully there will be some fast development between HaruhixTamaki. I mean there better be.

  7. i buy the manga. its much fun like that.

  8. It wasn’t just this line – this entire chapter came out of nowhere. When I started reading it I kept going back to the previous chapter and wondering if I had accidentally skipped one.

Also the 67 chapters sounds bad enough but this manga has been going since 2003! Long time to wait for the payoff :P

  9. It’s about time!

  10. Yup, “finally” pretty much sums it up. Now let’s see if Tamaki can actually court her normally. *yeah right*

If we could only get a decent scan of chapter 32 of KaichoMaid you’d be squealing for glee, Hinano.

  11. I also stopped buying it. I bought up to vol 11 then got frustrated with the crappy development (or lack there of) and I returned what I had and quit buying it =/

  12. Am I the only one who wanted her to end up with Kaoru?

  13. like everyone else, it was an “about time!” moment, but i just kinda rolled my eyes because of the weirdness surrounding that event. it didn’t get me excited but i’m gonna wait for more chapters before i can enthusiastically read again.

  14. Nope, I still read it! And FINALLY, we move forward with the slow meat grinder that is the plot in this manga! I know it was a bit random, but good enough for me! :D

  15. but if they drop this (like they usually do every time there is development in their relationship) and go back to that ‘father-daughter’ crap then i’m going to be pissed >l

I’ve been waiting for this for a long time Ouran, so don’t ruin it please!!!! K thx

  16. The entire process leading up to this revelation during the chapter seemed really uninteresting, especially after the last few chapters of drawn out hinting and the parachuting in of that new girl.

  17. I agree, not a big fan of whatever the hell was going on in that chapter :S

  18. Am I the only one who wanted her to end up with Kaoru?

Probably not, though right now those who do like it naturally aren’t going to be very vocal

and I also agree with blkmage.. I was never a fan of Megumi’s introduction either (though I have nothing against her personally).. I’d always imagined Ouran to be a satire of those sort of plot lines and not use them straight…Guess not

  19. Yesh, I luv Ouran no matter what anyone says!!
Ok, I do find it a bit boring but at least Tamaki has probarably gotten over his “father-daughter/family” phase. Next chapter I’m looking for promise. :cute:

  20. I keep up with it. I’ve been waiting for this moment for a looooong time. Let’s hope the next chapter is better and not worse.

  21. Yawn. Next chapter he’ll probably decide it must have been a mistake and go back to the way things were before.

  22. LOL that would be terrible. So far the manga’s been pointing in the TamaHaru direction so that would be absurd to do such a thing.

  23. I stopped reading, because I had started to like Hikaru with Haruhi, which no one else does I assume, and so I now just read it sporiadically. XD

  24. Hinano, an off-topic comment, but do you plan to restore your old posts from your prior blog to this blog?

I stayed away from your posts on INNOCENT LOVE because I didn’t want to be spoiled, but now I’m kinda interested in reading your thoughts/rants. :)

    Just wondering…

  25. Extremely unlikely, sorry.

  26. uhm…actually I think he started to realize his feelings for Haruhi in chapter 64, when she was mistakenly “kidnapped” and he feared to loose her. After that, he got more serious and probably began to analyze his feelings more deeply.

Megumi was introduced mainly to point out Tamaki’s emotional developement: even though she’s the personification of the “inner-mind-theatre” ideal Haruhi of the very first chapters, he has shown no interest towards her. Instead he has kept pointing out how much Haruhi was different from Megumi and even from himself.

This is the ultimate confirm that Tamaki has learnt to love the real Haruhi long time ago, unlike some slow readers kept saying.
    Good job, Hatori.

  27. See, many people still do! But I do feel like I’m following Ouran out of obligation… Just to see how it’ll turn out. Truth be say, it’s gettin a little tiring. It’s slowly becoming just another shoujo romance…

  28. bakaneko> sorry youll have to settle for my last few posts on the series on here ^^;
