…and after looking through a massive selection the only thing that looks good is the bag of potato chips on the side. I don’t expect much from the winter season, in fact I think it will suck ass, but because JP & I are running a team blog I thought it would be fun to copy everybody else and do a preview post with some pre-season thoughts. So let’s get started!
Hinano – This is a sequel to an anime I haven’t gotten past episode 1 of. Undead girls aren’t my thing. Pass.
JP – Have fun trying to watch this one, people that don’t live in the USA!
Yet another Marimite (マリア様がみてる 4th シーズン):
Hinano - DO NOT WANT.
JP - You know, one of these days I’ll get around to watching this series.
Hinano – Did they finally decide to name a girl Melon after her rack? I mean soon we’ll have girls named Hooters-chan and Gazongas-chan. I’ll probably be blogging this show. Epic fail VN to anime conversions are my specialty. 
JP – I have to admit, there was a disappointing lack of melons in the promo art. Melon is soooooo not an appropriate name for her!
Hinano – I like epic fail VN to anime conversions, but I’m not a big fan of the emo ones unless it’s made by Key. This looks like it’s gonna be another Kanon but I’ll check it out anyway. Could turn out to be worth my time.
JP – Hopefully I can avoid this one
Hinano – DIE SHAFT! YOU GO TO HELL AND YOU DIE! 
JP – GENTLEMEN, START YOUR FILTERS!
Hinano – Go away, 1 season of you was enough!
JP – I wish I both knew what emoticom represented a teardrop mouth, and I wish that I could read that emoticom without having Japanese language support installed. Also, even though I didn’t watch it, I will declare the second season of Minami-ke as the best, because I could translate “Okawari” as “Sloppy Seconds”
Hinano – Another sequel to an anime I couldn’t get past episode 1 of.
Sora o Kakeru Shoujo (宇宙をかける少女):
Hinano – This looks like a stupid show JP would like (to make fun of.) Pass.
JP – Actually, I believe that some of the My-Hime/Otome staff is involved in this one. But here is my obligatory fun-making: “MOAR LIKE ‘TOKI O BUKAKERU SHOUJO’ AMIRITE LOLOLOLOL”
Hinano – Um ew? Next.
JP – While “VIPER’S CREED” is kind of an awesome name, THIS is the kind of show that I would like to make fun of. And maybe I will!
Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger (はじめの一歩 New Challenger):
Hinano – As we have learned with Slayers, bringing ancient shows back from the dead for the “current” anime audience is epic failage.
JP – One of these days, I’ll get around to watching Hajime no Ippo. The fact that it is 76 episodes long means that it is going to get put off for a long time.
Hinano – This is based off some manga right? I like the character designs. Will give it a look though, although I imagine this would be something Totali would slobber all over.
JP – lolololol romantic comedies, which are so seldom romantic or comedic. Also, MOAR LIKE ASS NO YOICHI AMIRITE?
Tower of Druaga: The Sword of Uruk (ドルアーガの塔～ the Sword of URUK～):
Hinano – Another sequel. I feel like because I played the MMO for 3 days I should actually watch season 1 but I can’t get myself to bother because Gonzo rears its ugly head into my mind.
JP – I was interested in the Tower of Druaga when it looked like it would be about people playing an MMO, or having the MMO as the story, but the “players” speaking through the characters. Since it’s not that any more, I’m not interested. But if you’re listening somebody, make that a show!
Hinano – HAR HAR HAR. I don’t know if I’ll even bother with this show. It’s seems like another one of those “kawaii desu roriko is actually an ass kicking tsundere/yandere/whatever” things.
JP – Oh wait, you guys already know what I have to say about this one.
Birdy the Might Decode S2 (鉄腕バーディー DECODE:02):
Hinano – Season 1 looked dumb enough that I didn’t even bother. Yet another sequel I’ll be skipping.
JP – And now, some more fecalia: MOAR LIKE TURDY THE MIGHTY AMIRITE? Man, I never get tired of that.
Chrome Shelled Regios (鋼殻のレギオス):
Hinano – I dunno the character designs are hideous. I can totally see after like the first episode, people’s faces beginning to look more contorted than they do in the promotional poster. Although I suppose that in its own would be a reason to watch and lol.
JP – I dunno dude, this show sounds pretty cool. Also, “Chrome Shelled Regios” totally sounds like the name of a Yu-Gi-Oh card.
Slayers EVOLUTION-R (スレイヤーズ EVOLUTION-R):
Hinano – The writers new Season 1 was gonna be epic fail (which it was) so they split it into 13 and 13 instead of the traditional 26 episoder. That’s too bad because the first 13 eps of most Slayers series are stupid filler crap and the actual plot kicks in around episode 16. With this in mind, maybe this season will actually conclude the storyline which seemed retarded and non-existant in S1. (Either that or if I hear Blackstarmon 1 more time… )
JP – If I am forced to watch it, I will. Hopefully, I won’t be.
Hinano – Is this like the modern version of Brigadoon? Maybe JP will be interested, girls & bikes aren’t my thing.
JP – Nah, girls and bikes aren’t my thing either. LOL! Anyway, civil rights +, motorcycles -
Kemono no Soja Erin (空を見上げる少女の瞳に映る世界):
Hinano – Munto the TV series. I mean I think when I saw the movie it was during a time when anime was scarce so I thought it was the most awesome thing ever. Now that I think about it, it really wasn’t all that special and I can’t justify watching a TV series based off it.
JP – Meanwhile, I have no idea what Munto is.
Hetalia Axis Powers (ヘタリア Axis Powers):
Hinano – Umm is this a yaoi anime? I only see mans on the site! I’m getting STRONG Kyou Kara Maou! vibes from it. I’ll have to pass. I bet JP will be interested though 
JP – Of course! If there’s one thing I like more than World War II, it’s yaoi! Kyaaaaaaah!

Er .hack series was about MMORPG and I thought it was lame ass boring.
Shikabane hime is actually really good after a few episodes.
I actually like some MMORPG shows (like World Destruction & Ragnarok the Animation) but Druaga was kinda boring to me after the 1st parody episode.
And yet another winter season that looks like it’s going to be crap. Only 3 shows grabbed my attention and that’s just because they’re sequels. Too sad.
But as long as you keep making fun of shitty shows then I suppose it won’t be that boring.
The winter season ALWAYS sucks!

I don’t think Hetalia is Yaoi. The episodes are only 5 min. long, and there are a few female characters, I think.
This season doesn’t seem to be too great, but I’m thinking of watching Minami-ke, Hetalia Axis Powers, White Album, and Kemona no Souja Erin.

Hinano- Haha I’m guessing that was a bad trap anime? I’ve actually never seen an romcom anime where the boy is the trap, that’s why I was interested haha. But yeah I completely understand -.-; I’m not a big SHAFT fan at all myself. I’ve pretty much stayed away from every one of there animes actually XD! The only reason I decided to give in with Maria Holic is because the manga was pretty funny from what I read, so I’m going to try and bear with it >.<; Especially since I also think this Winter season blows, nothing else I’d even think about trying haha.
I really wish another studio was doing it too though =/
I spent several hours on our preview but yours is so much more amusing. This brings a tear to my eye.
Tis this season where they give rebirth to mostly any anime they can get their hands on and they screw up all of them. I’d rather be skiing and throwing snowballs if you ask me.
And to add for a fact the only animation that was made into an anime that was actually good was “Night Wizard the animation.” That one is my favorite in choice.
That’s cause you guys take the winter season a lot more seriously than it deserves!

Although the extra chapters contain some slight BL undertones (because they’re invading each other countries, lol), it is NOT yaoi.
But it is a fantastic and hilarious parody if people just want to have fun learning (?) about history, so this is a show I’m definitely watching.
I’m not sure if the lack of yaoi makes me like the show more or less now.

Hetalia axis powers are kinda like yaoi chan webcomic. And true it has yaoi themes abound but it takes a funny look at history. I believe this link would better explain what the series is.

Just a note about Kurokami, it’s actually, “kawaii desu roriko who kicks ass.” As far as I have gotten in the manga Crow has not shown any signs of tsundere or yandere-ness.
But there is NEVER anything worth watching during the winter season. That should bo of no surprise to anyone.
