I never expected the original Master Mosquiton OVA to be any good, but it was surprisingly goofy and fun. They tossed so much weird stuff together (let’s take some steampunk and then uh, a moonbase and uh, vampires in Egypt, and then go on a cruise with people speaking that goofy gaijin-style Japanese, and now we’ve got some dominatrixes fighting, and how about making the villain Rasputin?) that forget expecting it to work; I couldn’t even fathom the thought processes that came up with it. But somehow, it worked.

QUALITY

I saw this yesterday and was gonna skip blogging it but then I remembered something:

Needless to say, I am so happy I picked up this drama. It’s really bizarre though that the only reason Seira continues to be a slave is because “She has no where else to go” while the teacher’s like “god damnit would you leave already, if I throw you out myself then I look bad!” LOL. Oh well now that Kaito’s family freaking loves her (save for the annoying childhood friend with the annoying childhood promise) maybe she’ll have a place to stay!

This episode was way too srs business for this show!! The good part of course being that there was no annoying woman with her incredibly stupid problems, but the bad part is how everyone was all serious and asking the meaning of their lives (and this show.) One thing that has me interested was this though:

ZOMG Roppongi is a lolicon?? There was way too much flag/shipping between these two in this episode!! I mean I’m all down for romance but uh…can we give Akari like 10 extra years of age first? XD My inner fangirl isn’t sure what to do here…

As a birthday present for me today, JP and I went to see Katori Shingo’s musical “Talk Like Singing” at the Skirball Center in NYU. Apparently this is Shingo’s first overseas performance as well. We had the best seats too, 3rd row from the front. We were so close I could see sweat flying off Shingo’s face lol.

Kansai nukos for the win? XD All the nuko husband/wives were pretty funny. The babynuko was cute too, despite his mom beating up on the dad for cheating on her while he was away from Kyoto   Kanako’s getting on my nerves lately. All she ever does is punch Junpei and cockblock Kaede. Like go away bitch, no one wants your huge ass titties in this show. In other news:
